“Even those who are eligible for a COVID vaccine cannot get an appointment unless they have internet and car access, ample time to spare, literacy in specific languages, and technological proficiency,” Rausch said. “This bill significantly strengthens immunization implementation and infrastructure statewide by advancing racial, economic, and regional equity in vaccination access and outreach.”

Senator Rausch is one of four lawmakers who filed a bill to improve equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines through the appointment of an equity director and creation of mobile vaccination program.

“I cannot shake the question of why it wasn’t done sooner, and why the website is such a disaster,” Rausch said of creating the hotline. “A public outcry from Stockbridge to Boston, and an emergency bill from the Legislature, should not have been necessary to achieve a call center or a vastly better website.”

He broke a promise to our Commonwealth through willful inaction on environmental justice, endangering our children, our grandchildren, and Massachusetts’ communities of color already facing the pernicious realities of climate injustice.”

Senator Rausch joins the Needham Channel to discuss the recent passage of her racial disparities in maternal health bill.

Lead sponsor Sen. Becca Rausch, a Needham Democrat, said black people giving birth in Massachusetts are twice as likely as white people to die due to complications during and after childbirth. “We cannot allow that to stand, nor can we tackle a problem without understanding the full extent of its impact,” Rausch said in a statement.

As COVID cases in the Attleboro area continue to rise, Senator Rausch and other area officials continue to advocate for the opening of a Stop the Spread testing site in the city.

With no conversation at the state level about adding a Stop the Spread testing site in Attleboro, Senator Rausch issues a statement highlighting the need to open a site in the area.

"No youth survivor of incest should have to ask their rapist for consent to an abortion," state Sen.
